TYLER ROBERTSON - BRONZE ARTS AWARD JOURNEY
Welcome to my blog!
Hi, I’m Tyler, and this is my Arts Award journey.
Throughout this process, I’ll be exploring lyric writing, rapping, and producing my own tracks and beats. My goal is to develop my skills and grow as an artist, pushing myself creatively at every stage. I want to represent where I come from and help put Burnley on the map through my music.

I’ve spent time exploring the studio and the space I’ll be working in for this journey. I’ve been learning which DAW I’ll use to record and how to set up the microphones properly. This is my journey, and I know that only I can put in the work to make it happen.

EXPLORING A NEW STYLE IN THE STUDIO

To help myself develop as an Artist, I have decided to step out of my comfort zone a bit. I usually would rap when I come to We Are Noise. However, I've shown some music tutors the country-style songs I have been listening to; the lyrics have really been speaking to me on a personal level, and I have had a go at recording one. Headin South. It was interesting to see how preparing to record was slightly different. I decided to get a recording of the original guitar instead of a backing track to make the cover more personal to me. I had to find new confidence when singing in the studio compared to rapping.

Skill Share Planning
I have wrote out what I want to do for my skill share. I have also made a lesson plan to follow when teaching my lesson so it runs smoothly.
