EXPLORING THE ARTS AS A PARTICIPANT
IMAGE 1 - MIND MAP
To begin my journey I had to create a plan. I spent time with my tutors at We Are Noise making a plan. They helped me understand what I would be doing this year so I could make a plan to follow. I made a mind-map on Canva for my blog.

Over a few lessons I spent time with my We Are Noise Tutors trying new things like vocal warm ups, guitar, and working the studio equipment. I also did a lot of time lyric writing and I have been really looking forward to recording some original songs.
I have created my plan for this journey and I have been working towards my goals. Once I had worked with my tutors to develop my plan I went straight to the studio to set up my DAW and get ready to record a song I have already been working on in Bandlab. I wanted to get to know the studio space more and login to my account to use my pre-sets for when I record at home. In the pictures above you can see my song Drowning in Daylight. I wrote and recorded it here in the We Are Nosie studios.

Recording in the Studio
I have been working in the studio doing some vocal warm-ups before I record. This has been helping me relax into the environment. Having my lyrics in front of me also boosts my confidence, as I don't have to worry about forgetting them.

It has been nice working int he studios with my We Are Nosie tutors to have other artists in the space. I usually write songs and try to record them in my bedroom so to have different ideas in the room was good.

REFLECTION
VIDEO 4 - PART A REFLECTION
I recorded a video or what I have been doing and how I have been growing as an Artist during my Arts Award Journey. I feel more confident working in the studio and being able to record my songs in front of others and see other artists working around me has been a really good experience. I’ve wrote songs that I am happy with and I think I’m on track to make more.

I watched a gig by Michel. I enjoyed the music he preformed that day as it was enjoyable to listen to. WE heard some of his original songs and he did an Oasis cover. I was able to take notes during the performance to ask some questions when he finished playing.

VIDEO 8 - Q&A
We had a reflection of the performance and his music wasn’t my type of style as the genre wasn’t the best. but as the songs he made they was pretty decent
BLOG 12
After we listened to his music, we asked him questions of advice like is music or lyric writing harder to do. I also asked some advice about what motivates him to write and how to start getting your music out tot he public more. I’m glad we got to speak to a singer songwriter about his experiences as he’s not much older than me.

Skill Share
Gallery 9 - Skill share planning
For my skill share I will be teaching how to set up a microphone to record into Bandlab, as it’s my favourite software to use and I am most comfortable with it. I will make a six step lesson plan.
Skill Share Planning
I spent time with my tutor understanding what I needed to do for my skill share, I thought about a few options like lyric writing and singing and vocal warm ups. But I think i would be most confident with setting up a microphone to be used with Bandlab. I recorded two videos explaining my plan for my skill share.
