HADEEQA DILPAZEER - BRONZE ARTS AWARD JOURNEY

Welcome to my Blog!

Hi, my name is Hadeeqa, and I love rock music. Throughout my journey, I will be exploring how to play the guitar for some of my favourite songs and how to develop as a new artist.

Explore the Arts as a Participant

I have taken the time to explore what I want to focus on this year. I have always wanted to learn the guitar and get more involved musically, rather than just listening to it. I hope to develop my skills and to have a recording of myself playing by the end of this journey.

Guitar Practice

For the past few weeks, I have been learning the guitar. I have started with the basics, learning the strings, how to hold the instrument, what the frets are, and how to play a basic tune. I have really been enjoying this journey, and I am excited to develop more.

I have been exploring the drums to be more diverse when playing music. I have learnt how to read drum notation and follow along with tracks. I am still new to the drums and it has helped when finding the rhythm in my guitar pieces. Along with playing along with bass guitar to help interact in a band setting and develop as an artist.

Skill Share

For My skill share I will be showing my tutor how to tune hold and play chords on the guitar. I have picked this as my skill share because I am confident i can teach it independently

I have spent time making a plan for my skill share, that I can practice to make sure my delivery is clear. I have wrote 5 steps to follow for beginner guitar. I need to work on things like saying the right names of the parts of a guitar when I’m delivering my skill share even if I panic when I’m nervous. The practice run through was helpful so i can watch back and see what i need to do differently next time.
